The meaning of child labor or child labor

According to the 24th Article of the Constitution of India 1950, getting children below the age of 14 to work as laborers, factories, hotels, dhabas, domestic servants etc. comes under child labor. If a person is found to be doing so, there is a provision for appropriate punishment. According to the latest report, more than 35 million children in India work as child labor. Due to child labor
(i) The biggest reason for child labor is poverty in our country. People from poor families are unable to live their livelihood, so they send their children for child labor.
(ii) Due to a lack of education, parents think that the sooner the child learns to earn, the sooner it will be good for them.
(iii) Some parents' parents are greedy, who do not want to work on their own and send their children to work hard for a few rupees.
(iv) Child labor is also being encouraged because children are given less money as a byproduct of work, due to which people prefer to hire children more.
(v) Millions of children are orphans in our country, this is one of the reasons for increasing child labor. Some mafia people send those children to beg and wage labor.

The consequences of child labor
(i) The best moment of life is childhood, when we are children, we are not worried about anything. We play with toys and everybody loves us as well as we can read whatever we want. But the children who are employed in child labor work, they never play and are not able to do the work they want. Due to which his entire childhood is spent in working as a laborer.
(ii) Children who work as child laborers often become malnourished because their owners make them work more but do not give them anything to eat. Due to which there is lack of energy in their body and they gradually become malnourished.
(iii) Many children and girls are also physically abused while doing child labor, which is double hit on them. According to a report, about 40% of the children who are child laborers are physically abused. This is a very serious matter, but it is never taken care of.
(iv) Children often make mistakes while working. Mistakes happen to older people as well, but it is easy to scold children, so their bosses who work with them give them mental torture. Which adversely affects the brain of a small child.

Child labor prevention measures
Child labor is a curse for our society which will not allow our society to become unjust free. We should always keep in mind that instead of getting the child to work, we do him no favor by giving him money or food, rather we play with his future.
(i) To abolish child labor, we must first change our thinking. To end child labor, no child should be hired first in their homes or offices.
(ii) Strong and stringent laws should be enacted to prevent child labor. So that no one is scared of getting child labor.
(iii) If you come across any child labor issue, first of all, you should report to the nearest police station.
(iv) We should raise our voice against the stony hearts that shelter child labor.
(v) The common man should also be aware of child labor and prevent it from happening in his society.
(vi) Poor parents should pay full attention to the education of their children because today the government is providing facilities like free education, food and medicines in some schools.
(vii) People in factories and shops should vow that they will not get any child to get labor or labor and stop those who get work.
(viii) Whenever we buy any goods, first ask the shopkeeper about its technology. We can create an atmosphere of alertness in society by asking this question. We should not use anything made of child labor.
(xi) If we come to know of any child labor, we should first talk to the family of the child. They should understand their circumstances and tell them about the future of their child. Families of children should be made aware of the loss of child labor and legal offense.
(x) There is no improvement in the education system of our country even today. Due to which children of rural areas and separated areas are still unable to read and write. Due to which he falls victim to child labor in his childhood.
(xi) Because of corruption, the criminals who do child labor are easily missed or they are not arrested at all. Because of which young children have to work as laborers, so we should curb corruption.
(xii) There are many good people in our society but we need more good people who can bear the cost of the education of at least one poor child because nothing can happen till we take responsibility of our society. Because the government alone cannot do everything, we should go ahead and help the poor children in writing.
Work done by the government to curb child labor
The government has enacted several laws to make the country completely free from child labor. But until we and you do not follow those laws properly, it is not possible to completely free the country from child labor. Some laws made by the government -
(i) The Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986 - Child Labor Act has been enacted in 1986 by our government to eliminate child labor from under which work of children below 14 years of age. Getting it done would be considered a punishable offense.
(ii) The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) of Children Act of 2000 - Under this law, if a person provides wages to the children or forces them to do so then strict action should be taken against them. Will go.
(iii) The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 - This law was enacted in the year 2009, under which children between the age of 6 to 14 years will be provided free education, as well as poor and private schools. 25% seats will be reserved for children with disabilities.
