Speech on Jawaharlal Nehru -1
Honorable Principal, Vice President, Teachers and my dear students!
I am your host on this auspicious occasion of Namrata today from class 12th section-A. I welcome you all to the 21st Annual Day Celebration.
Before starting today's ceremony and show, I thought of giving a brief speech on one of the great national leaders of India and the first name that came to my mind is the first Prime Minister of independent India i.e. Jawaharlal Nehru. I know that they need no introduction because their great contribution towards India's freedom struggle made them immortal and that is why they remain in the heart of every Indian.
Jawaharlal Nehru, born on 14 November 1889, was a prominent figure in the freedom struggle of India and politics. He became the ruling head of our country in 1947 and ruled until his death in 1964. He is considered the creator of a contemporary Indian nation-state: a secular, socialist, universal and democratic republic. Interestingly, he is addressed by several names such as Pandit Nehru for his birth in the Kashmiri Pandit community and for his pure love for Uncle Nehru's children.
He was born into a prosperous family. His father Motilal Nehru was a famous lawyer as well as a nationalist leader and his mother's name was Swaroop Rani Nehru. He completed his graduation from Trinity College, Cambridge and later trained as a barrister at the Inner Temple. When he returned to India, he started his practice in Allahabad High Court from where his interest in national politics grew and due to which he also left his legal practice.
During the acute crisis of 1910, Jawaharlal Nehru became a committed nationalist from his teens and participated actively in the politics of country and state. He worked under the tutelage of another great nationalist leader, Mahatma Gandhi, and became the famous leader of the left wing division of the Indian National Congress in the early 20th century, and finally after becoming president of the entire Congress Party in 1929, Nehru gave the people of India Urged the British rule to fight for complete independence. We need not say that our country has achieved heights of success during his tenure.
The first President of our independent India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad once said of Jawaharlal Nehru "The country is moving forward on the path of progress under the leadership of Panditji". Apart from this, being a great politician, he was also an equal speaker. As a writer, he also wrote several books such as "The Discovery of India", "Glimpses of World History", "An Autobiography: Toward Freedom", "Letters from a Father to His Daughter" etc.
Nehru was the true promoter of peace and he presented the five important principles called "Panchsheel". He devoted his entire life to the good of his country. In today's time when corruption is rampant in our socio-political field, we really need leaders who can work with a dedicated mind for the development and progress of India.
Before I end my speech, let's all do "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" together!
Thank you.
Speech on Jawaharlal Nehru - 2
Good morning to all of you, Principal, Vice President, colleagues and my dear students!
Today we have gathered here on the day of Children's Day and certainly to give special importance to the students who they really deserve. The management committee has decided not to conduct any classes today and all the children are organized to enjoy this function especially the things for which they have been organized here.
We all know that Children's Day is celebrated on November 14 every year, but how many of you know the importance of this day? Why has only this date been chosen for the celebration? I am looking at the astonished faces of the children who do not know about this day, then I would like to tell you that this date is the birthday of our great Indian politician and first Indian Prime Minister i.e. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and it is celebrated nationwide on Children's Day Is celebrated as Despite being entangled in India's freedom struggle, his immense love and affection for children did not diminish over time as he enjoyed the innocence of children. In other words, the children were a symbol of innocence, love and care for uncle Nehru.
Even as a political leader, Jawaharlal Nehru had proved his mettle and made his special contribution to the nation in the form of economic reform policy ie Planning Commission. The Planning Commission of India was composed by Jawaharlal Nehru. The Government of India under the Planning Commission formulates a 'five-year plan' to run the economy. The Commission hosts various other economic reforms. On 8 December 1951, the first five-year plan was started by Nehru himself.
This was just the beginning of a venture set up by Jawaharlal Nehru and after this Nehru became the first policy maker in India to realize the value of cottage industries established in the Indian economy. His rapid observation led to the growth of small-scale industries, which established much needed production capacity in India's rural economy. The cottage industrial area, in turn, supported agricultural laborers to develop a better standard of living for themselves. This was due to the additional income generated by the farmers.
Apart from the political and economic sphere, his contribution to the educational sector cannot be ignored as he acted as a catalyst for change in Indian society and behind the scenes in establishing Indian institutions for higher education like we have The world-famous All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Mandn Institute (IIM) etc. Basic level of education made compulsory and free. In addition, adult educational institutions were also established.
Nehru himself was an educated man and he knew the importance of education how every Indian citizen would learn to read and write which can change the face of our country. The traces of social, political and economic reforms undertaken by him in the contemporary Indian Republic are clearly visible and the growing economy of our country underlines this reality.
Children, I hope you all enjoy listening to the achievements of Uncle Nehru as much as I enjoyed talking about him. With this I end my speech and request our honorable Principal to say a few words so that the subsequent programs can be started.
Thank you.
Speech on Jawaharlal Nehru - 3
Honorable Principal, Respected teachers and my dear friends!
Today this program has been organized to celebrate Children's Day in our school and as Head Girl I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to say a few lines on this day. In fact, many children do not know the reason for celebrating Children's Day. Children's Day is the day when the first Prime Minister of independent India was born. He loved children very much and in view of his love for children, this day is celebrated as Children's Day. Jawaharlal Nehru is also known by many names like Pandit Nehru and Chacha Nehru. His love for children is the reason he is known as Chacha Nehru. He established some successful policies like India's foreign policy and education policy. He was the person who delivered a speech in Parliament to the Indian Constituent Assembly on the eve of India's independence, called "the gift of fortune".
He was born in British India on 14 November 1889 in Allahabad. His father Motilal Nehru served twice as the President of the Indian National Congress during the freedom struggle and his mother's name is Swaroop Rani Nehru. Shri Jawaharlal Nehru was the eldest of three children, two of whom were girls. Uncle Nehru described his childhood as protected and monotonous. He was educated at home by private tutors such as Ferdinand T. Brooks. He was interested in science and theosophy. He went to Trinity College, Cambridge in October 1907 and graduated in natural sciences there. During this time he also studied political science, economics, history and literature. After completing his degree, he went to London in 1910 to study law at the Inner Temple.
He returned to India in 1912 and received his nomination as a lawyer in the Allahabad High Court. Although he was interested in Indian politics, he changed politics to join law. They agreed to work for civil rights in Congress. He wanted to support the civil rights movement in South Africa. He collected funds for the Civil Rights Campaign led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1913. After his life as a politician, he became a part of many movements during the independence movement such as Home Rule Movement (1916), Non-Cooperation Movement (1920) etc. He was arrested on charges of anti-government activities in 1921 and left a few months later.
She married Kamala Kaul in 1916, which led to a daughter named Indira who went on to marry Feroze Gandhi in 1942. He died on 27 May 1964 and is believed to have died of a heart attack after the Sino-Indian War.
In conclusion, I would like to say that he was the most honest, successful and beloved politician and Prime Minister of our country.
With this I would like to end my speech. Thank you for your interest and patience in my speech.
Hope you all have a good day.
Speech on Jawaharlal Nehru - 4
good Morning ladies and gentlemen.
Today we have all gathered here for the inauguration ceremony of this orphanage and I would like to thank all of you for your huge support in building this institution as its director. We all know that today is Children's Day. This institution is formed for the welfare of orphans, hence this day has been chosen for the inauguration ceremony. Before the start of this event I would like to say a few words on Children's Day. We already know the reason for the celebration of Children's Day and that is 14 November 1889, the birthday of Shri Jawaharlal Nehru. He was the first Prime Minister of independent India.
This day is celebrated as Children's Day due to their love for children. He is also known by many names like Pandit Nehru and Chacha Nehru.
His father's name was Motilal Nehru, a prominent lawyer and nationalist leader and his mother's name was Swaroop Rani. He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge and the Inner Temple. When he returned to India, he enrolled himself as a lawyer in the Allahabad High Court.
He grew up in an atmosphere of rich family dynasties including a palatial property known as Anand Bhavan. He was a committed nationalist since his teenage days. His stature grew in Indian politics during the 1910 decade of aggression. He then became a prominent leader of the leftist groups of the Indian National Congress.
He was the central figure of Indian politics before and after independence. He emerged as the main leader of the Indian independence movement under the support of Mahatma Gandhi and ruled India as an independent nation from 1947 until his death. He is known as the architect of the modern Indian nation. He initiated adult franchise, prohibition, nationalization of industries, socialism and the establishment of a secular India. He played an important role in the Constitution of India and the creation of India. As the first Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of India, he played a major role in shaping the government and political culture of modern India with an excellent foreign policy. He devised a plan to provide universal primary education, which succeeded in reaching a considerable level of children in rural India.
Although he was a great politician and a nationalist leader, he was also interested in writing. He wrote several books. For example - The Discovery of India, Glimpses of World History, and his autobiography Towards Freedom.
In 1916, Nehru married Kamala Kaul. They had only one daughter, Indira, who was born a year later in 1917. Nehru died on 27 May 1964, and on that day our country had lost a great and honest leader. He devoted his entire life to making India a secular and a modern nation.
With this I would like to end my speech and I hope that this organization will achieve great success in its future.
Thank you, have a nice day.
