Speech on Lal Bahadur Shastri 1
Respected Deputy Principal, teachers and my dear students, you are warmly welcomed.
Being the Principal of this school, today I will tell about one of his disciples of Gandhi Jayanti, who was also born on 2 October, yes I am talking about Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Lal Bahadur Shastri was one of the followers of Mahatma Gandhi, but very few know about the work done by him during the freedom struggle. I am very happy that I have got this special opportunity to give a speech on Lal Bahadur Shastri, who is counted among the best Prime Ministers of India.
Shastri ji took over as the second Prime Minister of India and also worked on other important posts of the Congress. He was one of the people who waged a lifelong struggle for India's freedom struggle. He was very much influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and considered him his ideal, it was Gandhiji's influence on him that he jumped into freedom struggle at such a young age. With this, he is counted among the most honest and good prime ministers of the country. He was an administrator who made India's iron around the world with his actions and qualities. Great heroes like him leave their deep impression on history.
At that time, there were many kinds of evil in our country and society, many laws were made to fight, many changes were made, but Lal Bahadur Shastri was one such person. Who renounced his surname to fight this evil. Like Mahatma Gandhi, he too chose the path of truth and non-violence for the freedom struggle. During many of his cabinet meetings, he tried to resolve them peacefully instead of debating problems. He mediated in every law and policy made for the development of India.
You all would know about the Green Revolution, which plays an important role in the development of our country. Many revolutionary changes took place in the country during the tenure of Shastri. It was Lal Bahadur Shastri who gave the famous slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. The Green Revolution was the most important step for the progress of India, which was decided by Lal Bahadur Shastri. However, the main development of this program was seen during the tenure of Indira Gandhi.
Lal Bahadur Shastri ji died on 11 January 1966 in Uzbekistan after signing the Tashkent Agreement. He was posthumously awarded the country's highest honor Bharat Ratna. His memorial has been built in his honor at Vijay Ghat in Delhi, so that the coming generations can also be inspired by him. In today's time, we need politicians like Shastri ji who can serve the country with full devotion like him. Come, let us all close our eyes to a great soul like Lal Bahadur Shastri and offer reverence to him. Honesty and simplicity like him are born once in centuries, whose actions are enough to praise them.
Thank you all!
Speech on Lal Bahadur Shastri 2
Respected Principal, Deputy Principal, dear teachers and my classmates, welcome to today's program.
I am ashamed Wadhwa, a student of class 12th, I would like to express my special gratitude to my class teacher for giving me the opportunity to deliver a speech on this special occasion today. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to speak on a great personality like Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was the second Prime Minister of independent India. Although he did not have any special experience in such a large political post, he still performed this responsibility well. I remember that day even today, that was the day of October 2, when our class teacher was going to tell us something about Mahatma Gandhi and his birth anniversary. But after a while when he came back, he told us that I am going to tell you about a person who was born on the same day in place of Mahatma Gandhi. We were all shocked to hear this, yes, the person she wanted to tell us about, he was no other but Shastri. This was the time when I came to know about Shastri ji who followed Gandhi ji's path and liked simplicity.
He was a man who would never back down from his promises. He always wanted our country to become powerful and prosperous. According to him, the British government only exploited our people and did not give any special benefit to them in return for taking work from them and also tried very hard to suppress their demands. This was the reason that he joined the freedom movement of India at such a young age.
Shastri ji was one of the followers of Gandhi ji's thoughts and beliefs. He was deeply influenced by Gandhiji's idea that if the villages are powerful then the development of the country can be done very easily. That is why he wanted the agricultural economy to be encouraged to encourage the poor farmers and laborers of the village. This is also reflected in his slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, his respect for farmers and army soldiers.
When India was going through a bad phase, it was Shastriji. Who worked to get the country out of this crisis. He started the Green Revolution in the country which pushed the country on the path of progress. Along with this, the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan was also given by him, so that the farmers of the country could become powerful and independent and the country could move forward on the path of self-reliance.
Shastriji, who implemented many successful rules in the country, could not cope with this shock after he signed the Tashkent Agreement of India-Pakistan War in 1966 and died.
In the end, I would just like to say that in this short tenure of two years Shastri ji took many such brave and important decisions which even today the whole nation appreciates.
Thank you all for taking your important time and listening so carefully to my speech!
Speech on Lal Bahadur Shastri 3
A warm welcome to all of you in this program, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
I thank Ankit Patel, everyone present here, I am very fortunate that I have got the opportunity to give a speech on the life of Lal Bahadur Shastri on this occasion. I hope that with this speech I will be able to explain to you all about the works and works of Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Shastri was born on 2 October 1904, he became the second Prime Minister of India after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and was also one of the senior leaders of the Congress Party. Shastriji was among those supporters of Mahatma Gandhi, who always respected his views and values. He was greatly influenced by Mahatma Gandhi's courage and non-violence, it was Mahatma Gandhi's influence on him that he became involved in the freedom struggle of the country at such a young age.
Since childhood, he had a special passion for the independence of the country. He had a special passion for history as he grew up. Which included the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, which inspired him to peace, apart from this Mahatma Gandhi and Annie Besant also left a deep impression on his life. He was so impressed with Gandhiji that on Gandhiji's call for leaving government schools in non-cooperation movement, he gave up his studies and joined the non-cooperation movement the very next day. After that he always started participating in freedom struggles and became an important member of the Indian National Congress.
Babushiv Prasad Gupta and Bhagwan Das established the Kashi Vidyapeeth University in 1921 from where Shastri became a graduate student and after that he started participating in freedom struggles regularly. He also had to go to jail several times during India's independence struggles, but this did not reduce his spirits, this was his greatest strength. Which made him different from others. While going to jail, he got a chance to learn about many Western revolutionaries and philosophers.
After independence, he became the first Home Minister of the United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh) and played a meaningful role in preventing the communal riots of 1947 and settling the refugees, the most important thing about his work was that he had no force for it. Did not experiment, which was a direct proof of his leadership ability. After becoming the Prime Minister of India, he said that he will create an India where there will be no compromise with the freedom and happiness of the people. Their only goal was to make our country a democratic system with a secular and mixed economy, for which people still remember them for their efforts.
Apart from his fables, he is known as a person who has an important contribution in the important decisions taken for the development of India. Shastriji's contribution was behind the Green Revolution and Milk Revolution started in the country. To increase agricultural production in the country and to prevent exploitation of farmers, he gave the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan. He also faced the situation of food crises and famine in the country in a very good way and kept the self-respect of the country.
Shastri ji is the one who maintained peace within the country even in the event of war. During the Indo-Pak war, he wanted an agreement between the two countries, so that peace could be established between the two countries and the fight could be stopped and their efforts did the same and that is the reason why we should give Shastriji the history of the country. I consider him one of the greatest prime ministers.
So let us all pray for the peace of a great soul like Shastri ji and wish that his ideal is transferred to the coming leaders of our country, so that our country can move forward on the path of rapid progress.
Thank you all for taking your time!
