A sleeping lion catches no deer or a sleeping cat no mouse

A lion is a beast of prey. It catches deer and eats them. To catch deer the lion must be alert and active. It should exercise tact and run as fast as the deer. Otherwise, it has to go without food. If the lion does not labor according to his ability to catch deer and stays idle in his den and his opportunity slips away, he has to starve. The deer will not come voluntarily and enter the mouth of the lion. The moral of this story applies well to human situations. In order to earn a living and be happy, every person must be up and doing. He has to work hard. An idle man always suffers because owing to his idleness he cannot earn a living. Similarly, an idle student cannot dream of a first-class and an idle businessman shall fail miserably in his business. To succeed one ought to be alert and active.
