An idle mind is the devil's workshop
Idleness is one of the worst traits of human character. It is of two kinds, physical and mental. These two kinds of idleness are inter-related. One cannot be physically active at a time of mental inertia. Similarly, one cannot be mentally alert when he is physically inactive. Mental idleness is the mother of all kinds of confused and evil thoughts. When someone is without any work and sits idle all sorts of evil thoughts flock into his mind. During such periods of idleness one schemes, conspires, and plans to do some harm to others. In the process, he may also harm himself. Life is nothing but action. It is rightly said that work is worship. Without work-life loses its direction and purpose. When one is busy in some work his mind is concentrated on it and so evil thoughts do
not occur to him. No one should ever be idle.
