Death is an answer without a question
This is a metaphorical utterance where death is compared to an answer without a question. When an answer is available it is possible to guess the question. Hence it is not puzzling. One may be uncertain or have misgivings about life but no one is in doubt about death. Death is a hard fact, a certainty. It is inevitable. Birth, growth, and death are three successive stages in the evolution of life. One who is born and lives must die one day or the other. Modern medicines and sophisticated methods of treatment can relieve our pain but they can never save us from death. That everyone must die is a truism. It does not need any explanation, elaboration, or proof. kings, emperors, and rich men who can afford costly treatment do not live forever. They die just like the poor people who cannot afford any treatment. There can be no questions about the inevitable finality of death.
