Grasp all lose all
The world is full of innumerable objects and incidents. Human memory like human life is a limited thing. It is not possible on the part of one man to commit everything to memory. Everybody has a natural ambition to know everything. But such ambitions cannot be fulfilled because of the unlimited area of knowledge and the limited capacity of the human mind. If one aspires to know everything and with that end, in view, he goes on reading everything he does not remember anything. It is, therefore, wise to select the most essential things first and then try to grasp them. The approach in this case ought to be selective. Things with which one is remotely concerned and those beyond his grasp should be excluded. Otherwise in our insatiable desire to grasp all we go on wasting our time and straining our nerves and finally we know nothing. One should do well to remember it.
