Once bitten, twice shy
Man is compound of many like and many, unlike characteristics. Sometimes his judgment is right and sometimes it is wrong. There is no guarantee that whatever one does or thinks will be always right. If he does u wrong thing he is either punished or made to suffer in one way or the other. A good thing with man is that he learns through suffering. He does not normally or consciously repeat a wrongful action which was once the cause of his suffering. If he is aware of the fact that for the commission of a certain wrong he was made to suffer he will never try to repeat such an action. If a person is aware of the fact that he was punished for being guilty of an action he is careful not to indulge in that kind of action anymore. He naturally becomes shy of actions, which were once the cause of his suffering.
