Rome was not built in a day
Rome was the greatest and most prosperous city in the ancient world. Its power and glory were known all over the world. But this power and glory was not the achievement of a single day or short span of time. It took several years to build Rome and cover it with its historic glory. Similarly, a great success or achievement of anybody is not possible instantly or within a short period. When one desires to do a great work success does not come to him with a day or two's labor. One must work slowly and steadily to be crowned with the success that can bring him lasting fame. Great things in the world are usually done in a slow fashion and that too with endless patience and perseverance. Achievements of enduring value have never been accomplished in a day or two. Unflinching patience and consistent hard work for years account for every important achievement both in all ages.
