slow and steady wins the race
Ours is an age of competition. Man faces competitions everywhere. Anyone without a competitive spirit cannot achieve anything in the present times. A man can win a competition if he works slowly and steadily. Undue haste will not do him any benefit. Everybody knows that a person with a hasty mood has no control over his mind. He loses the power to think reasonably and profitably. Mere haste ends up in waste. In this respect, we are reminded of the popular story of the hare and the tortoise. The race was finally won by the tortoise not because he could run faster than the hare, but because he ran steadily through slowly. A race is not necessarily won by the hasty or the swift nor a battle by the strong. It will be surely useful for all of us to remember that patient and steady work always leads to success.
