Strike the iron while it is hot
When we want to give a definite shape to a piece of iron in order to make an instrument of something out of it we can do so when the iron is red-hot. When a piece of iron is red-hot its material is soft. Iņ this condition we
can mold it to any shape. When it is not hot it is hard and we cannot mold it to any shape. This example implies that we should act when the impulse to act is still fresh. Once the impulse cools off it is difficult to act. A man who puts off work. he can do today, till tomorrow can never do it. For him tomorrow does not come at all. It is always better to do work when the right kind of opportunity is available. Once the opportunity slips away and the urge to do a work disappears nothing worthwhile can be done.
