The pen is mighter than the sword
Undoubtedly the pen is much stronger than the sword. The sword is the symbol of physical, brute force. The pen is the symbol of intellectual force. The sword destroys but a pen creates. A warrior, a soldier, or a person who wields a sword is a destructive force. A writer who wields a pen is a constructive force. More is achieved through the power of the pen than through the power of the sword. The writings of Rousseau and Voltaire brought about the epoch-making French revolution. Millions of swords could not have achieved a fragment of that great event. We love great poets and authors like Shakespeare. Milton, Iqbal, Kalidas, Tagore, and Radhakrishnan more than any soldier or war-hero who kills thousands of people. We hate the destruction wrought by war but we love the books that delight and inspire people forever. The sword gives pain and anguish but the pen gives pleasure and solace.
