TO ERR IS HUMAN, TO FORGIVE DIVINE.

Every human being has one defect or another in his or her character. No person is completely free from  imperfection. As human beings all of us have moral, intellectual and physical abilities. But there are limits to these abilities. It is but natural that sometimes our thoughts go wrong or our actions prove disastrous. All thoughts and actions of ours cannot be always correct. So making mistakes is normal. Even a highly learned man or a saint very often makes mistakes. This is a natural human characteristic. But the ability to forgive a wrong doer is a divine virtue. There are very few persons who possess this virtue. All of us will like to take revenge on anyone
who insults us or makes us suffer. But there are very few persons who show mercy to an enemy and forgive him. Such persons are divine. Lord Buddha, Jesus Christ and Mahatma Gandhi are example of such divine persons.
