WASTE NOT, WANT NOT.
It has been rightly said that there is no end to human wants. When someone finds that his wants have been fulfilled he also finds that other wants appear in no time. There are many causes of the multiplication of our wants. One such cause is our greed. Another is our ambition. Careless use of things is yet another. This maxim refers to the last cause mentioned here. More often we buy our necessary things and spend our money recklessly and wastefully. We do not exercise judicious economy in such matters. As a result of this carelessness we face the want of certain necessary things which we waste in the process of reckless use. Most of our wants can be avoided by careful and economic use of things. One mut guard against extravagant expenditure and wasteful use of things in order that one will not face any kind of want.
